Ingredients
  

Stuffing
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Lean or extra lean
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice White or brown
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce Divided
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 4 large Green Bell Peppers Tops cut off and seeds removed
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Cheddar or Mozzarella

Method
 

Prepare the Peppers
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the green bell peppers and remove the seeds. Place them upright in a baking dish.
Cook the Filling
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add cooked rice, half of the tomato sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Mix well and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Stuff the Peppers
  1. Spoon the beef mixture into each green pepper until filled. Top each pepper with the remaining tomato sauce and shredded cheese.
Bake
  1. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your stuffed green peppers!
