Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet skin removed and bones taken out
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs preferably panko
  • 1 large egg lightly beaten
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Toppings
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese optional
  • 4 buns burger buns toasted
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • 1/2 cup tartar sauce for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Salmon Patties
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, dill, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
Cook the Patties
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Place the salmon patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  3. If using cheese, add a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute.
  2. Place each salmon patty on a bun and top with lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce.
