Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti or any pasta of choice
Sauce
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter cut into pieces
  • 1 large lemon zested and juiced
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Cook the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta in a colander.
Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Stir in the lemon juice and zest, then add the cooked pasta to the skillet.
  3. Toss the pasta in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a creamy consistency.
  4. Stir in the grated parmesan cheese, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until the cheese is melted and the pasta is well coated.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.
