Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 4 medium apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice to prevent browning
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg ground
Topping
  • 1 cup oats rolled
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine sliced apples, lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss to coat the apples evenly.
Prepare the Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix oats, flour, melted butter, brown sugar, and salt until crumbly. Spread the apple mixture in a baking dish and top with the oat mixture.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
