  • 1 cup pitted dates soaked in warm water for 10 minutes
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk or any plant-based milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup optional for added sweetness

Method
 

Prepare the Dates
  1. Soak the pitted dates in warm water for about 10 minutes to soften them.
Blend the Sauce
  1. In a blender, combine the soaked dates, coconut milk, vanilla extract, sea salt, and maple syrup. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Heat the Sauce
  1. Transfer the blended mixture to a saucepan and heat over low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve
  1. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving. Drizzle over desserts or use as a dip.
