Ingredients
  

Ice Cream Base
  • 2 cups heavy cream chilled
  • 1 cup whole milk chilled
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Ice Cream Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
Churn the Ice Cream
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into the Cuisinart ice cream maker.
  2. Turn on the machine and churn for about 20-25 minutes, or until the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Freeze the Ice Cream
  1. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
