Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti or your favorite pasta
Sauce
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes halved
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil extra virgin
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated

Method
 

Cook the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
Prepare the Sauce
  1. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant.
  2. Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook until they start to burst, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Stir in chopped basil and remove from heat.
Combine and Serve
  1. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to combine and heat through.
  2. Serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese and additional basil if desired.
