Preparation
- Trim excess fat from the beef chuck roast and cut it into large chunks.
- Season the beef chunks with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder.
Cooking
- Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Add the seasoned beef on top of the onions and garlic.
- Pour the BBQ sauce and beef broth over the beef.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the beef is tender.
- Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks and mix it with the sauce.
Serving
- Serve the BBQ beef on buns or with your favorite sides.
