Method
Prepare the Donut Batter
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the donut pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients: eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and reduced apple cider.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Bake the Donuts
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
Coat the Donuts
- In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
- While the donuts are still warm, coat them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
